This year, we collaborated with local Mi’gmaq artist Jessica Jerome, originally from Gesgapegiag, to create the illustrations for the Gaspesian Day’s Coloring book. Her drawings represent the Seven sacred teachings of the Mi’gmaq culture and feature symbolic animals from the Gaspé territory, Gespe’gewa’gi.
A multidisciplinary artist, Jessica is also a graphic designer, illustrator, and painter. She currently lives between Halifax and Gaspésie, the land she calls home and where her roots remain deeply anchored.

The drawing game placemat is created by someone who describes themselves as an artist, a mom, a teacher, and a Gaspesian: Sarah Servant.
Two perpetual and important elements have always accompanied her: the river and creativity. During her college and university studies in arts and literature, Sarah experienced an active period of creating naive-style works, with a series of projects and exhibitions.
As a young mom, she temporarily set aside the arts for letters by launching the MAMA Gaspésie blog. Involved in her community, Sarah is also behind the Avenue Halloween project in Sainte-Anne-des-Monts. Today, Sarah is a teacher and feels perfectly at home in the creation of illustrations and educational materials.
As an entrepreneur under the name Créations Carotine, she is making waves in the world of education throughout the French-speaking world
