DISCOVER THE ARTIST BEHIND THIS COLORING PAGE
Catherine is an amateur artist and an employee of Vivre en Gaspesie. Passionate about drawing since childhood, she is proud to contribute to Gaspesian Day by creating an illustration for children. Through this drawing, she hopes to share the simple pleasure of coloring and having fun.
Inspired by what her daughters love about the region—nature, animals, and water—she imagined a scene filled with joy and freedom. Her favorite? The caribou, an animal she is particularly fond of and which inhabits the magnificent Gaspesie National Park.
Gaspesian Day is held annually on the first Thursday of June. In 2007, the « Commission Jeunesse Gaspésie-Îles-de-la-Madeleine designated the first Thursday of June as a day to celebrate the dynamism and vitality of the Gaspe Peninsula, as well as to highlight the residents’ sense of belonging to the region. Gaspesian Day is coordinated by the Living in Gaspesie Strategy, in collaboration with numerous partners.
