Internship allowance
Are you coming to do an internship in Gaspésie? Stratégie Vivre en Gaspésie offers a financial aid program for students from outside the region who come to do their internships here.
You could receive up to $2,100 for an internship with an employer in the region, whether it is paid or not.
HERE ARE SOME IMPORTANT THINGS TO REMEMBER IF YOU WANT TO PARTICIPATE IN THE MY INTERNSHIP IN GASPÉSIE PROGRAM:
- You must meet all program-related admission criteria;
- The internship must last at least 3 consecutive weeks and 84 hours;
- The allowance granted per week is $175, for a maximum of 12 weeks of internship;
- The internship must take place in Gaspésie in a field with promising career prospects;
- If your field is not listed, don’t hesitate to contact us. The list of career opportunities is subject to change;
- Medical students are excluded from this program.
- The Gaspésie administrative region lies between Capucins and L’Ascension-de-Patapédia, excluding the Magdalen Islands;
- The internship must be compulsory or optional for obtaining a diploma or compulsory for obtaining accreditation by a professional order. Ex: the Barreau, the Chambre des notaires, the Ordre des pharmaciens;
- You must study full time outside the region in a training program recognised by the Ministère de l’Éducation et l’Enseignement supérieur;
- The company or organisation where you’ve chosen to do your internship must be recognised by your training institution as an eligible internship location;
- You can only benefit from the My internship in Gaspésie program once.
For the year 2022-2023, the program plans to financially assist a maximum of 100 student interns by June 2023:
