NATURE OF WORK

The main and usual role of the employee is to help teachers and mentors in behavior management. The employee provides direct support to students and parents using various strategies and activities to help teachers and parents with students with specific social, emotional and behavioral difficulties. Work is usually done under the direct supervision of teachers, school administrators or behavior management mentors.

SPECIFIC FUNCTIONS

•  Follow up with natural and logical consequences to bad behavior;


• Ensure that students are properly placed in the classroom and organize their physical space;


• Contribute to the implementation and monitoring of bullying prevention programs and behavioral contracts;


• Serve as a mentor to students;


• Provide supervision for students suspended from the classroom and remove from class those who exhibit
  
  highly disruptive behavior or who are out of sorts;


• Other related tasks may be assigned from time to time to ensure the smooth running of the school: student supervision may be required on this position, administrative work, GPI and other needs and other urgencies.
