The great outdoors is one of Gasp\u00e9sie’s many treasures! Here are some activities that everyone can enjoy to celebrate Gaspesian Day surrounded by nature.<\/h3>\r\n[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=””]\r\n

1. <\/strong>Set out to hunt for agates on the seashore<\/strong><\/h2>\r\n[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=””]Spending the day on the beach looking for precious stones is a great activity when the weather is fine. The main beaches where agates can be found in Gasp\u00e9sie are the ones at Coin-du-Banc, Anse-\u00e0-Beaufils and Beaubassin in Bonaventure. You can also find them on Haldimand beach in Gasp\u00e9, on Go\u00e9lands beach in Maria, on Carleton-sur-Mer\u2019s beaches and on the town beaches in Caplan and Saint-Sim\u00e9on.[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=””]\r\n

2. <\/strong>Set out for a nature walk or run<\/strong><\/h2>\r\n[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=””]Walking or jogging on trails in the forest, by the river or along the sea is one of the outdoor activities that give you a chance to appreciate our wonderful region. You don’t need to be an expert to appreciate Mother Nature\u2019s beauty and play photographer for a day.           4. <\/strong>Picnic on the beach<\/strong><\/h2>\r\n[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=””]A fun family picnic at lunchtime, playing in the sand with the kids, or a meal with friends at the end of the day to watch the sun set over the water are great ways to enjoy what Gasp\u00e9sie has to offer.\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nMany beaches feature shelters and picnic tables:\r\n\r\n \r\n

They boast magnificent vistas the like of which are few and far between in Qu\u00e9bec. Since they’re paved, you can also roller blade or skateboard on them:\r\n
